Windows chief Steven Sinofsky departs Microsoft with immediate effect: Only a few weeks ago, Steven Sinofsky was overseeing the launch of Windows 8 and Microsoft's new Surface tablet. But now, to the surprise of many, he has suddenly parted ways with the computer giant.
